We are looking for outgoing people who enjoy working with children and animals! Perfect for professionals or students looking for fun/flexible part-time work a few days per week. We are looking for people who are interested in working events and potentially doing animal care.
Job Purpose: To lead and develop educational events for children and adults, while professionally representing the company. To create a fun and exciting environment as well as teach them about animals/animal care. A unique opportunity to earn money while enjoying animals and making others happy!
Hours: Part-time work available Tuesday - Sunday. 4 - 8 hour shifts typically between 8am - 6pm. Looking for people available at least 2 days per week.
Compensation: Starting pay is $17 per hour. Staff are reimbursed for mileage when driving animals and supplies at 75 cents per mile. Any tips our staff earn are kept 100% by staff.
Location: This is a traveling educational petting zoo and we do events within a 30 minute radius of Potomac MD. Staff must have the ability to transport themselves plus small carriers and fencing to zoos.
Requirements: Enthusiasm, dependability, patience and an outgoing personality. Must enjoy working with children and animals. A criminal background check; copies of driver's license and current vehicle insurance are required. 1 or more years experience working with children.
Lift and Carry Requirements: 25 pound fencing and baskets with small to medium-sized animals.
Vehicle Requirements: A 4-door car or larger vehicle to transport animals in small baskets and equipment safely to and from zoo.
Bonus if you are able to drive a large van or horse trailer or willing to learn!
