We are looking for an individual who enjoys working with animals to join our team as an Animal Caregiver on a part-time trail basis from March – May with the possibly of extending into the Summer. The need is to be available in the AM hours from 7 AM – 10 AM Monday – Friday and flex in some weekends.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the happiness and well-being of the dogs in our care. This includes feeding, playing, medicating, and exercising, as well as cleaning responsibilities and much more.

Schedule:

• AM Shift: 7 AM – 10 AM (March – May and may extend into the Summer)
• Part Time: Mon-Fri (10-15 hrs per week)
• Available to flex in some weekends and holidays

Responsibilities:

• Manage customer interaction with professionalism during specific drop off and pick up times
• Gathers Pet information, work with computer systems and maintains daily record keeping
• Maintain feeding schedules as directed and maintain animal cleanliness
• Bathe animals as needed and at times provide grooming assistance with bathing and drying
• Ability to understand and interpret pet behaviors, recognize aggression signs, and handle each animal with patience
• Cleaning/Sanitizing Kennels, laundry, outdoor cleaning, and deep facility cleaning
• Cleaning yards and keeping grounds clean
• Monitor animal behavior and record keeping
• Manage daily playtime, exercise, and pet routine
• Administer multiple types of medications such as pills, injections, etc. per specific instructions and times of day
• Be able to follow policies and procedures and maintain safety protocols
• Positive communicator, personable and adaptable to change
• Must be very organized and be detail orientated
• Be 17 years of age or older
• Be able to lift 40-50 lbs
• Be able to work AM hours Mon-Fri and flex some weekends
• Be able to operate in a loud environment filled with joy and excitement
• Be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Maintain a positive attitude, work with great compassion, and have fun!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
