POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a skilled Android App Developer to join our product development team. This role will analyze and enhance existing software applications and work with a team to innovate and develop new software systems. We seek individuals with a passion for technology and proven experience with full stack mobile platforms. Our current stack leverages native development for Android apps using several technology solutions including Kotlin, Node.js, PostgreSQL, various AWS services, and more! We’re a growing team and we advocate creative thinking. You’ll have the freedom to influence new features, solutions, and the technology we use. You’ll join the engineering team within our technology group to deliver upcoming innovative products by creating secure, reliable, scalable software solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Work with internal developers and outside collaborators in creating category-leading mobile and web applications
- Design, develop, analyze, test, and troubleshoot new and existing frontend applications
- Work with engineering counterparts to align on the whole-system user experience
- Cooperation with project managers to deliver solutions within scope, budget, and quality requirements
- Conduct and take part in software reviews
- Document code for other developers, QA team, and product documentation authors
- Be a formidable team player as well as an independent, self-starting individual contributor
- Provide support of software products in production to engineering and customer support teams
- Contribute to our positive team culture of innovation and delivering premium products
- Analyze existing software systems, identify problems, and propose solutions
- The intern will be remunerated hourly at $20/H.
- Other Native-language mobile applications development a plus (Java/Kotlin/Jetpack Compose, Objective-C/Swift/SwiftUI)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study, OR minimum of 3 years of directly relevant work experience
- Demonstrated strong software development & problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated understanding of full-stack application architecture
- Must be proficient Java or Kotlin
- Demonstrated experience creating layouts and modeling them with Figma, Adobe Xd or similar
- Must have experience with version control and corresponding methodologies, e.g., Git
- Strong desire to learn new skills, tools, and technologies
- Flourishes in a co-learning environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements
- Strong preference for applicants with a BS in CS or similar field plus 2 years of directly relevant experience in mobile application
- Strong Preference for applicants proficient in one or more of: Kotlin, Android Release Pipeline, and AWS Cloud Infrastructure
- Knowledge of multi-stage development lifecycle & methodology
- Experience with GitHub, Docker, or similar CI/CD tools a plus
- Knowledge of wireless communication protocols such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MQTT, etc. a plus
