QC Analyst – ZIPP Analytical Chemistry/Phys Props/In-Process
Reckitt, formally Mead Johnson Nutrition, located in Zeeland, MI, is seeking a motivated and experienced QC Analyst to join the ZIPP Analytical Chemistry Team. Reckitt is a global organization that exists to protect, heal, and nurture in the relentless pursuit of a cleaner and healthier world. The IFCN site in Zeeland, MI is a major manufacturer of infant and child nutritional powders and the ZSP Analytical Chemistry Team is responsible for the analytical testing of finished products and in-process materials.
SHIFT - 12pm to 8pm
PAY - $23.25

Description:
Position is responsible for independent real-time physical properties, analytical chemistry, and in-process testing to support release of finished products and in-process materials. Follow established methods, utilize approved laboratory techniques, investigate nonconformities, and ensure accurate results are delivered in a timely manner. Possess a working knowledge of group operations and laboratory information management systems. Position is responsible for coordinating the testing of materials to meet release schedule. Perform investigations and instrument/method optimization to support individual work assignments. Ensure all laboratory records are maintained in compliance with good scientific and regulatory practices. Organizational skills of laboratory space are a must. Understand and support safe work practices and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in science or technical subject preferred.
- Physical properties laboratory testing and/or Organoleptic/Sensory testing experience strongly preferred.
- Instrumentation experience with ICP-OES/ICP-MS, GC, NIR, and HPLC/UPLC/HPIC desired.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills desired.
- Quality Control experience within the food manufacturing environment is desired, broad understanding of powder infant formula product is a plus.
- Experience in an FDA regulated environment is preferred.
- Candidate should have experience and knowledge of laboratory operations, calibration and maintenance of various lab equipment or similar types of equipment.
