Warehouse Shift Coordinator | Romeoville | HIRING IMMEDIATELY
Available Shifts: 6PM- 6AM on a 223 Schedule
This position will be responsible for allocating customer orders to the warehouse while utilizing the JDA System to manage resource capacity to prevent Operations bottlenecks and inbound/outbound delays. The position will also be responsible for supporting the supervision, engagement, training, coaching and counseling of the Lift Truck Operators, Team Leads and LTO Trainer working the same shift. Supply Chain Shipping Coordinator will ensure that all customer orders are shipped based on priority without compromising Customer Service Levels through directed work while level loading the work queue.

Responsibilities:
- Support daily Tier 0 & Tier 1 meetings, ensuring standard work is followed, and all issues and problems are resolved or routed appropriately
- Execute daily work plan created by the site Wave Planner, and identifies problems that prevent efficient execution of the plan. Resolving and escalating issues appropriately.
- Monitors and assesses Warehouse Management Systems (JDA) and PINC work load to determine efficiency of workflow and ensure enough work being deployed.
- Quickly addresses any problems, issues or adjustments as required to complete the operations plan and ensure on time customer shipments
- Supporting the Shift Manager with the supervision of the floor, engage, coach and counsel the Lift Truck Operators, Team Leads on the shift.
- Coordinates the daily workflow with the Shift Leadership Team and Lift Truck personnel.
- Identifies inefficiencies in workflow between replenishment, picking, put away and shipping; makes wave and labor adjustments as needed.
- Monitors order queue and ensures balanced labor, equipment and warehouse work tasks.
- Awareness of load by time cut-offs to ensure loads are ready to be shipped.
- Plan, release and ensure timely completion of the waves in the warehouse management system.
- Plan, release and ensures timely completion of the Interleaving tasks in the warehouse management systems.
- Plan, release and ensure timely completion of cross dock opportunities.
- Identifies and ensures timely of HOT outbound/inbound shipments.
- Identifies and ensures timely completion of consolidation moves.
- Monitors and ensures timely completion of replenishment moves.
- Maintain Yard and Door trailer statuses.
- Monitors operator productivity and provides constructive feedback to help operators obtain and maintain maximum productivity levels
- Understands the cost drivers at the site, and works with the leadership team to minimize and reduce costs without sacrificing quality or customer deliveries
- Drives innovation and Continuous Improvement at the site, is a champion of Change Management to support operational improvements
- Ensure communication to shift supervision status of wave progress and problems.
- Be able to support all Shift Manager leadership tasks when in Shift Manager absence. (Tier0, Tier1, daily work assignments, payroll, coach and counseling, driving safety and work flow accountability through communication)
Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree preferred, and/or 3-5 years business experience in Distribution/Warehouse Logistics
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); JDA (Red Prairie) a plus
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP); SAP a plus
- Self-Directed & demonstrates the ability to proactively identify resolve discrepancies or potential issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem identification & follow through to issue resolution
- Demonstrates the ability to work well with a variety of individuals.
- Demonstrates an understanding of automated distribution

The warehouse was built in 2013 and opened in February 2014, distributes food packaging for Sysco, Havi, Speedway, & Wendy's and has approximately 90 employees.
