Position's Mission:
The Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Analyst's mission is to conduct research that leads clients to a significant, market-leading advantage. Hyperfocused on using quantitative and qualitative user behavior data sources, you will define the question to answer, collect, clean, analyze, and share your findings, which will play a key role in defining our game-changing client strategies.
Responsible for
- Analyze website traffic, user behavior, and revenue data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Gather and interpret data using tools such as Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, MS Clarity, Hotjar, Sheets, Looker Studio, and other relevant platforms.
- Develop hypotheses based on data analysis and collaborate with the design and development teams for implementation.
- Conduct user research to understand the needs, preferences, and pain points of target audiences.
- Work closely with the design and development team to implement A/B tests.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
- Create and maintain regular reports on key performance indicators.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Propose and implement new processes to improve the CRO data reporting process.
Skills, talents, and experiences needed to create superior results.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or a related field
- 4+ years of proven experience in a similar role focusing on CRO and data analysis, working across multiple projects, workstreams, and clients
- 4+ years of analytical proficiency with Google Analytics, Amplitude, and Google Sheets to an advanced level. Current certification for one or more of these tools would be seen as a big advantage
- 4+ years of experience carrying out CRO and A/B work in a fast-paced agency
- Ability to answer specific questions accurately and quickly through quantitative or qualitative data analysis
- A clear understanding of highly converting copywriting and UX/UI principles
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with a passion for continuous improvement
- Data-driven mindset with proven experience utilizing metrics & insights as tools for informed decision-making
- Proactive in delivery and able to plan for short and long-term priorities.

- Project Performance: Maintain an average LER of 3.0 across all projects (total project revenue / total billable hours cost) by your 90th day
- Project Management: Estimated timing and dependencies mapped out in Trello for the next two months for 75% of projects by your 90th day
- CRO Research: You will own the CRO research process of gathering data from various sources. You must complete your first research and discovery report by your 90th day.
- Test Reporting: You will own test reporting from A/B tests. This requires you to produce meaningful and usable AB test reports at the end of each test by your 60th day.
- Test Roadmaps: You will own the test road mapping of projects and have produced your first 6-month roadmap by your 90th day.
Job Description:
As the CRO Analyst, you will work on the client services team. Your primary focus will be discovering insights, planning, and reporting on tests, enabling our clients to grow quickly. That will happen by supporting the account lead strategy in delivering and accurately estimating scheduled projects and tasks. As a supporting team member to account leads, you will be involved with surfacing insights from various data sources, writing test hypotheses, analyzing their possible outcomes, validating tests, and reporting on test outcomes. Then, work with the account lead to deliver tests and reports that move the needle for our clients.
You’ll also be in charge of prioritizing tests for delivery using our VICE Sheet. That includes accurately updating the VICE Sheet with test results and building our client knowledge base.
This is a data-heavy role. On the client services team, you will embody one of our company values: creating transparency through data.
In your first three months, you will learn our project management process and take over CRO Analyst responsibilities for all active projects.
This work will feed into working with account leads to adjust 6-month roadmaps for all clients and help us develop more rigorous data analysis, processes, and procedures.
In the next three months, you will continue to learn the funnel optimization research process and report on all clients' projects while holding yourself accountable to the observable indicators listed in the bullets above.
In the following three months, we expect you to be delivering client work effectively and efficiently and will start to guide how we can improve our data analysis process.
In the final three months of your first year, we expect you to have mastered the project management process, completed your growth plan, be able to accurately estimate and deliver client work, and regularly provide test reports that instruct our future funnel optimization strategy.
