Ammonia/Refrigeration Technician

• 2nd shift: 1:50p-10p Or 3rd shift: 10p-6a
• Hourly Rate: $37 +0.75
• You will report onsite 100% of the time at our Louisville, KY Location. #LI-Onsite

Will perform preventative and predictive maintenance on all Process Refrigeration, HVAC, Boilers, and Compressed Air equipment, reporting to the Facility Manager.

A Day in the Life of a Ammonia / Refrigeration Technician

You Will:

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on Utility Equipment to increase overall effectiveness.
• Prepare documentation (e.g. records of refrigerants, paperwork, logs, time and materials, specifications, etc.) for providing written support in compliance with regulations and conveying information
• Service, repair and rebuild valves and pumps.
• Help perform major and minor repairs on Utility Equipment (Boilers, Ammonia Refrigeration, HVAC, Air Compressors, Fire Retention Systems and Cooling Towers).
• Other responsibilities as required.

You Have:

• High School Education or equivalent
• 2 years experience in utilities with an emphasis in HVAC/R, Controls or Electrical. Can past RETA CARO exam within 90-days.
• 2-4 years experience with RETA CARO Certification - Ideal.
• Appropriate training and certifications relevant to responsibilities
• Understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses and maintenance
• High mobility, performing maintenance on utility equipment throughout the facility, walking up ladders and stairs daily.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Can perform work on ladders, boom lifts/forklift/scissor lift.
• Can pass respirator testing annually for PSM.
