Position Summary
Responsible and accountable for maintaining ammonia systems, equipment and procedures.Coordinate with management, regarding the health and safety of all associates and the community in the event of an emergency involving federal regulated process. Essential Job Functions
•Monitor operation set and control points, as well as daily events related to hazardous materials and refrigeration
• Conduct routine inspections of all ammonia systems an equipment
• Comply with all department and company department and policies and procedures that will include a safe work environment
•Lead and support safety changes
• Partner with Maintenance supervisor to routinely inspect ammonia equipment for deficiencies and determine root cause
• Operate ammonia equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Facilitate continuous on-site training
Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications
5+years years of maintenance experience
4+ years of hands-on refrigeration experience
Operator I Certificate Required
Knowledge in electrical and general mechanical systems
Process Safety Management, (PSM) background
Risk Management Plan, (RMP) background
Ability to pass a physical and respirator fit test
Excellent analytical, communication and mechanical skills
Desired Previous Experience/Education
4+years of continual ammonia (NH2) experience
• Operator II & III Certificate
•Strong leadership experience in process controls and electrical field
