Job description

THE JOHN GORE ORGANIZATION is the leading presenter, distributor, and marketer of Broadway theatre worldwide. The ASL Interpreter will serve as ASL Interpreter for the show assigned to them by the Director of Artistic Sign Language on the scheduled ASL performance date.
Compensation:
The ASL Interpreter will be compensated with NINE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($900.00), paid in the pay cycle after the completion of services. Please be advised that your compensation will not be processed until after the performance. You will be paid by check sent to the address on IRS Form W4.
Interpreter duties:
  • Act as ASL Interpreter for the designated ASL performance for which you are contracted to provide services.
  • Attend the schedule of rehearsals set by the DASL and ASL Interpreter team.
  • Arrive at the venue NINETY (90) minutes prior to curtain on day of ASL performance.
  • Attend placement & lighting focus with production team prior to curtain on day of the ASL performance.

Additional:
The ASL interpreter will be given one ticket to attend a preview performance of the show prior to the ASL performance. The ASL interpreter will receive parking passes for Lafayette Garage located at 1 Avenue de Lafayette across from Citizens Bank Opera House, as needed.
VACCINATION REQUIREMENT
All employees working in our offices or affiliated venues are required to obtain and maintain up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations. Those (i) who are disabled or who have a qualifying medical condition that contraindicates a COVID-19 vaccination, or (ii) who objects to being vaccinated on the basis of a sincerely held religious belief, observance or practice may request an exemption from the vaccination requirement.
