Ranch at Dome Mountain: The Ranch at Dome Mountain is the most recent addition to the AMB West family of ranches and is being concepted as a new hospitality operation. It is boasts four miles of Yellowstone River frontage and 6,500 acres of prime wildlife habitat instead the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

Position Summary
The Controller for AMB West is a key finance position supporting all AMB West properties to the benefit of our guests, associates, and the community. Accounting associates within each property will report to this position. This position will report to the General Manager of AMB West with a dotted line to the CFO of the Family Office.
Roles and Responsibilities

• Serve as an effective member of the leadership team in Montana, providing sound analysis for strategic and financial decisions and recommendations to the AMB West General Manager. Work closely with Mountain Sky Guest Ranch department heads to ensure operational goals align with financial goals and tracking, maximizing "House Profit" within the construct of the BFOB values. Work in partnership with the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation to ensure philanthropic goals are achieved from a finance-support perspective at West Creek Ranch. Assist and support the programs at Paradise Valley Ranch.
• Lead the monthly financial and annual budget processes for the AMB West properties.
• In partnership with the AMBW General Manager, establish key metrics to drive, measure, and reinforce high service levels.
• Improve upon and maintain appropriate and functioning controls and systems to safeguard assets and to detect, communicate, and mitigate risks.
• Lead by example, provide direct oversight and training to finance associates within each AMB West property. Currently, this includes one A/P person and two degreed accounting professionals. The team may grow based on increased workload and/or acquisitions.
• Assist with selection, design, testing, and end-user acceptance of a new property management system for AMB West.
• Ensure compliance with Montana liquor license laws for three alcohol licenses at the properties. Manage relationship with local law firm which advises on the laws and assists with renewals. Manage relationship with external CPA firm which prepares books for the liquor license companies.
• Oversee bed, livestock, real property, and personal property taxes for AMB West companies.
• Oversee draw packages for construction projects and ensure fixed asset records are appropriately maintained.
• Coordinate with the Director of FP&A in Atlanta for tax-related matters, including cost segregation studies.
• Ensure accurate and timely information is remitted to payroll for all properties. Review existing policies for room and board, housing, and piece work at the ranches.
• Oversee general liability, D&O, agricultural insurance at all AMB West properties.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in Accounting, with at least five in a management role
  • Excellent technical knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience in accounting for consolidations and other business combinations
  • High competency with a major ERP, Excel, and other Microsoft applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build relationships with AMB West operational departments, The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, The Arthur M. Blank Family Office, and shared services across the Blank Family of Businesses.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between ranches in the Emigrant area. Travel to Atlanta semi-annually, or as requested.
