Job description

Schedule: 

Part Time- Day shift.  Monday-Friday 
28hrs /week
8, 9, 10 hour shifts, with variable start times, starting at 06:30 am

 

The Ambulatory Float RN (based in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center) will possess the ability to teach, develop a plan of care and evaluate the assessment of patients coming to the Brigham and Women's Faulkner Cardiac Rehabilitation Center for lifestyle modification classes , evaluation of activity tolerance.  The Ambulatory Float RN (based in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center) will develop the knowledge and skills to support the care of patients in the four procedural and ambulatory areas including Endoscopy, Outpatient Infusion, Pain Management and Interventional Radiology/Nephrology.

The RN Coordinates all aspects of nursing care with all disciplines to achieve defined patient outcomes. Demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. Needs to possess the skill to provide appropriate education to the patient and family regarding their plan of care. The Ambulatory Float RN must demonstrate excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients, families and coworkers.

  • BLS required
  • BSN required
  • Previous procedural/ ambulatory nursing experience strongly preferred.
  • Adheres to all I.C.A.R.E. standards.
  • Must show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients.
  • Demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities.
  • Ability to function under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate effective skills in applying hospital standards in area of service, team work, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management.
