Provides high level secretarial functions for Surgical Specialty Clinics that may include: answering phones, scheduling and coordinating clinic appointments and operating room scheduling, obtaining external patient records, clinic support, filing, copying, typing and faxing. Supports the CMLS lean system by providing administrative support in daily management, problem solving, and performance metrics.

- Provides clerical support for both surgery and clinic scheduling
- Manages office communications.
- Organizes and maintains department filing system to ensure records are complete and accurate.
- Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment and promotes efficiency of operations.
- Attends education programs, unit meetings and assigned committees.
- Participates in performance improvement activities.
- Shares responsibility for teaching and orientation of new personnel (within own skill level).
- HS diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years work experience
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $18.15/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from Home:
This position is not eligible work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
