Job Summary:

As a Bistro Attendant at one of our Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests in the bistro area. You will ensure that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering prompt, courteous, and efficient service. This role requires a friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.
• Prepare and serve food and beverages according to Marriott standards.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions using POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bistro area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
• Assist with stocking and replenishing food and beverage items as needed.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Upsell menu items and promote special promotions or events.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Food handler's card or willingness to obtain one upon hire.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift and carry trays of food and beverages weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Bend, stoop, and reach to perform cleaning and stocking duties.
• Work in a confined space and withstand varying temperatures in the kitchen area.
