Aluminum Fabrication - 1st Shift

WE MANUFACTURE FUN!! Cardinal Systems Inc. is one of the nation's largest technologically advanced manufacturers of galvanized steel walls for in-ground swimming pools. In addition to steel walls, we manufacture steel steps and benches, aluminum coping, liner track, deck drains, liner bead and other custom fabrications.
The Coping Fabricator will learn the functions of the ERP system and how to utilize it as part of their daily tools. They will learn how to read and understand the fabrication blueprints in order to determine the dimensions and angles of their product. They will learn job assessment and detail-oriented skills to produce product to all standards and specifications. They will be trained on all the individual machines used in the department to manufacture the pieces. They will use various techniques to fabricate aluminum product including, Mig tack welding, grinding, and sawing.
Essential Functions of Coping Fabrication :

• Fundamentals of machine setup; Mig Welder, Saw(s), Paint Booth, Grinder and Hand Tools.
• Basic understanding of process and flow of the department.
• Basic understanding of adjustments to fabrication equipment to make a quality product.
• Understanding of company's work instructions, production standards, safety procedures, quality standards, and SOP's.
• Handle or use packaging equipment.
• Will fabricate and package orders for stock and live orders.
• Develop an understanding of product knowledge to perform quality checks on parts.
• Develop an understanding of selecting the correct raw material.
• Learn how to knowledgably read blueprints/drawings.
• Gain understanding of the process and flow of the department.
• Focus on obtaining a quality level of cleaning, finishing, and painting of product that meets or exceeds the company standard.
• Learn basic Global Shop procedures (clocking in & out of jobs, daily production & material transfers, checking inventory status, and completing daily tasks)

Qualifications for Coping Fabrication:

• High school Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Mig welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Previous forklift operation experience preferred
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient math skills with basic knowledge of measurements, degrees, and angles.

1st Shift - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (M-F)
