SalaryWe are seeking an experienced Alterations Specialist to join our team. As an Alterations Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality alterations and tailoring services to our customers. If you have a passion for garment construction and excellent sewing skills, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Perform alterations and repairs on various types of garments, including but not limited to dresses, suits, pants, and shirts
- Take accurate measurements and mark garments for alterations
- Use sewing machines and hand sewing techniques to complete alterations
- Ensure that all alterations are completed with precision and attention to detail
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with fitting sessions and addressing any concerns or questions they may have
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide recommendations on alterations that can enhance the fit and appearance of garments
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and sewing techniques
- Proficiency in using sewing machines and other alteration tools
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in performing alterations
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating fabric requirements
- Previous experience in a fashion retail or alteration shop is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
