Job description

The Allocation Analyst role contributes to the company's goals through performing and continuing to refine the Allocation function at 5.11. The analyst will be responsible for defining new ways of working as it relates to reserving and allocating inventory efficiently and effectively across channels and customers. The Analyst is responsible for designing, building, maintaining and analyzing complex reporting to support the Inventory Management team and the broader Operations team. The analyst will also communicate with IT and customer service to leverage available tools ensuring business decisions made are executed in the system correctly. In addition to managing all allocation system jobs, the analyst will support the Manager of S&OP in creating, validating, and communicating key KPI's and root cause reporting across the business. This individual will be comfortable working with a level of ambiguity and autonomy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leverage data, tools and systems to further enhance the allocation process and ways of working that effectively prioritizes constrained inventory & communicates key fill dates to sales channel leaders, and coordinates execution in the system with customer service and IT
  • Understand and optimize order management systems in MS Dynamics 365 to ensure it is executing to business priorities in partnership with IT.
  • Develop and execute allocation strategies through analyzing reports and making independent decisions that support financial plans and sales channel priorities.
  • Create and analyze ad-hoc reporting as needed to drive allocation and business decisions.
  • Analyze forecast and promotional assortment plans, collaborating with the Demand & Supply team to ensure their vision is aligned with allocation needs.
  • Leverage allocation tools to protect Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) inventory levels for new seasons, new store opening, and minimum in-stock.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot Allocation incidents such as oversold inventory, job timing issues, and conflicts between accounts
  • Propose, gain alignment, and execute corrective actions related to allocation issues.
  • Create, validate, prioritize and track KPI's using Power BI, AX & Excel, to measure Allocation effectiveness and support Manager in evolving the monthly S&OP presentation & meeting.
  • Socialize, prioritize and align with cross-functional partners on KPI measures and data
  • Effectively communicate root causes and business narrative found in the quantitative analysis.
  • Manage supply segmentation in alignment with channel needs and business requirements to optimize fulfillment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following credentials:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Allocation and/or S&OP function.
  • Experience working with supply chain concepts such as allocation, fill rate, forecast accuracy, SKU productivity, inventory turns, sell-through and margin.
  • Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity & able to multi-task in a busy environment with high attention to detail.
  • Able to partner with others to achieve goals. Track record of effective communication with wide variety of functions.
  • Expert Excel skills
  • Advanced PowerPoint & charting skills
  • Power BI and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience a Plus

Pay Range: $70,000 - $75,000 plus bonus.
