Alarm Installation Technician (Apprentice)

*This position services the Puget Sound area. Our office is located in Mukilteo, WA*
Position Summary:Install and assist under the direction ofa Journeyman and/or upper-level field trainer in the installation ofsecurity and fire alarmsystems. All training provided.
Job Duties:

• Install security systems and assist upper-level Installers with installations.
• Establish positive contact with customers.
• Prepare installation equipment.
• Assist in the installation of burglar systems, CCTV, access control, and fire systems as required.
• Attend and complete all applicable training including required E-Learning courses
• Process necessary documentation.
• Work toward proficiency in all job areas.
• Install wireless alarm systems independently.
• Complete on-the-job training with a field trainer, and pass field inspections.
• Complete Bay University training program in preparation for promotion to level II pass the class assessments.
• All other miscellaneous responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 2 Years related or direct industry preferred.
• Must have Electrical Training Card and qualified L I work hours towards obtaining an EL 06 Card.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Communication skills required.
• Customer service skills required.
• Some knowledge of UL, NFPA, NEC building standards preferred.
• May be required to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required.
• Final applicant will need to have the ability to pass a pre-employment screening process.
