The Body Shop Administrative Clerk courteously and efficiently assists customers and Body Shop staff with repair transactions. Tasks and responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to, communicating status updates to customers, communicating with insurance carriers and adjusters regarding claim status and payment, receiving and processing payments for services rendered, etc... He or she uses the appropriate software programs to update repair orders, track repair status, record payments, and manage customer data such as service history, payment history, and contact information.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and previous retail and/or customer service experience that includes money-handling and point-of-sale (POS) system experience. Automotive dealership experience is a plus, but not required. He or she must have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong administrative and organizational skills, good computer and internet skills, and an excellent customer service focus.
This is an entry level position with the potential to advance in to a Body Shop Estimator role.
