Job Description:
MUST BE ARRT CERTIFIED
MUST HAVE PROOF OF FLU AND COVID VACCINATION AND BOOSTER
Perform radiographic exams, including Computed Tomography (CT), Radiography (R), and Mammography (M), works independently in performing these modalities. Collaborate with radiologists, providers, and other technologists to improve patient care. Provides on-call services on a rotational basis. Apply previous computer experience to new applications for imaging and record keeping. May be required to travel to provide services at clinics throughout the Consortium. Understand that inadequate communication with the patient, provider, and radiologist can adversely affect patient health. Creatively works with other SEARHC staff to solve problems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must provide radiographic examination within department and other areas of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation. Must exercise professional judgement in performance of procedures applying principles of radiation protection.
Maintains patient records and files.
Assumes responsibility for departmental quality assurance program.
Pursues continuing education.
Transfers patient to and from radiology.
In the absence of a supervisor, can assume responsibility for the department.
Rotates shifts as required.
Performs ancillary duties as requested by supervisor.
Follows policies and procedures as set up by SEARHC Administration
1. Assists in general hygiene of department and self.
2. Should be able to work well in situations of stress.
3. Must be willing and able to take call and report to work within 30 minutes.
4. Must maintain competency in licensed modality.
5. Able and willing to perform other duties as assigned.
6. Assist with invasive procedures and knowledge of these procedures.
7. Competent in sterile technique.
8. Competent in OR procedures and C-Arm operation.
9. Alaska fluoroscopy certified or willing to obtain within 90 days.
Computed Tomography:
Responsible for care of equipment in this area.
Responsible for record maintenance.
Assist with invasive procedures and knowledge of these procedures.
Active part in the preparation of procedure in this area.
Consult with referring physicians.
Able to perform venipuncture or willing to be trained within first 90 days.
Follow standard precautions procedure.
Alter routine protocols to provide quality care to pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
Change contrast levels per age group.
Set up and run automatic injector.
Familiar with contraindications of contract.
Competent in tele-radiology transmission.
Competent in sterile technique.
Actively assists in supply inventory and ordering.

Current ARRT in Radiography
Current ARRT in Computed Tomography
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Technologist Level Assignment
Tech I ARRT or ARDMS in one modality (i.e., ARRT general radiography or ARDMS one category)
Tech II ARRT (CT, MR, MG, NM) or ARDMS /ARDMS categories (OB/GYN, Abd) certified in two modalities.
Tech III ARRT (CT, MR, MG, NM) or ARDMS certified in three modalities modalities/ARDMS categories (RVT or RDCS)
T Tech IV ARRT (CT, MR, MG,
NM) or ARDMS certified in four modalities modalities/ARDMS categories (RVT or
RDCS)
