Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Systems Support Specialist for Falcon aircraft models, your primary responsibility is to deliver comprehensive technical assistance and guidance to various stakeholders, including the command center, field service representatives, service centers, vendors, repair agents, and customers, pertaining to specific Aircraft Systems. You'll be entrusted with troubleshooting challenges, addressing technical inquiries, and offering solutions related to your designated systems. Collaboration with colleagues and customer service departments, particularly Dassault Aviation, will be essential. Additionally, you'll monitor system and component performance to proactively identify potential fleet-wide issues and provide valuable feedback for product enhancements. Communicating effectively through various mediums such as letters, articles, and presentations will be integral to disseminating information to customers.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on aviation or equivalent practical experience.

Experience:

  • Three years of hands-on experience in aircraft support technicalities or system design.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Profound understanding of relevant systems coupled with adept problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Competence in interpreting wiring diagrams and aircraft schematics.
  • Fluent in English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and supportive demeanor.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Capable of independently managing standard projects/tasks.
  • Resourceful in finding solutions or alternatives in the best interest of customers and the company.
  • Completed presentation training and demonstrated experience in conducting customer seminars or support meetings.
  • Participated in an exchange program with counterparts at Dassault Aviation.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • A&P license or equivalent experience recommended.
  • Prior experience with Falcon aircraft or business jet support.
  • Familiarity with customer support operations.
  • Exposure to system/component failure analysis or aircraft system maintainability and reliability analysis.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of French language preferred.
  • Understanding of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.
  • Familiarity with Aircraft Systems.
  • Experience or proficiency in 3D design software such as CATIA V4/V5.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Standard office setting with climate control, workstation, phone, and computer.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel (approximately 5-10%).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Provide timely support to various stakeholders to resolve issues, including AOG situations.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for all departments, offering technical insights on systems support.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute as necessary.
  • Review documentation for accuracy and readability before customer release.
  • Validate service bulletins and maintenance procedures with customers and/or Dassault Aviation facilities.
  • Collaborate actively with colleagues within DFJ Engineering Support and Dassault Aviation.
  • Monitor and report findings of equipment failures, coordinating investigations with Dassault Aviation.
  • Assist model specialists with system-based technical issues.
  • Support investigations related to NFF (No Fault Found) and DOA (Debris On Arrival) parts.
  • Develop and deliver presentations at customer meetings and company seminars.
