Position: Aircraft Systems Engineer
Reports to: Software Engineer Lead
Location: Odessa, Florida
General:
Aeronautical Systems Engineering, an innovative, simulator design and engineering company, is seeking a qualified and experienced Aircraft Systems Engineer. The position is responsible for identifying scope, documenting system requirements, and implementation. The following list of job duties and qualifications provide an overview of the position. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned to the employee at the supervisor’s discretion.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
● Interface with other software/engineering disciplines to ensure the effective integration of Aircraft Systems
● Conduct technical evaluation of new designs and engineering changes from project to project
● Develop detailed solutions for technical, operational, and Aircraft Systems integration for Flight Training Devices (FTD) and Full Flight Simulators (FFS)
● Prepare clear and accurate system engineering documentation including operating and maintenance procedures to implement software solutions
● Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions and trouble areas
● Execute projects within defined scope, milestones, and deadlines
● Ensure all software and engineering solutions are in compliance with company regulations and regulatory standards
● Intermediate understanding of computer programming languages: JavaScript, Java, C#, C, C++
● Report project status and issues to management on regular basis through the life of the project
● Provide technical support and guidance in simulated aircraft operations

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field
Experience in Aircraft Software Simulation Preferred
