Summary:
The Sheet Metal Mechanic will be responsible for planning and executing aircraft modifications which include fabrication, assembling and repairing both internal and external aircraft structures. The mechanic will also be required to work with technical manuals and FAA regulations as well as drill precision holes on aircraft.
Responsibilities:
Plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs both internal and external aircraft structures and surfaces for aircraft modification in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations. F-16 Production line structures and assembly. Installing fasteners, drilling bulkheads, skins, and building up fuselage components. Heavy Precision Drilling, Countersinking, and Reaming precision holes. Mostly will be actively drilling precision holes on aircraft!
Requirements:
- Experience in planning, laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing and repairing both internal and external aircraft structures and surfaces
- Familiarity with technical manuals and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of FAA regulations
- Experience in F-16 production line structures and assembly
- Skills in installing fasteners, drilling bulkheads, skins and building up fuselage components
- Proficiency in heavy precision drilling, countersinking and reaming precision holes on aircraft
- Ability to work any shift including 1st shift (Mon-Thurs 6:00am - 4:30pm), 2nd shift (Mon-Thurs 4:30pm - 3:00am) or weekend shift (Thurs-Sun 6:00am - 4:30pm)
