Overview
Position Title:Aircraft Quality Assurance Auditor
Rate of Pay: $18.50/hr
Shifts Available:
  • 1300-2130
  • 2100-0530

Position Purpose:
Aircraft Quality Assurance Auditors are responsible for assessing and ensuring the compliance of aircraft security and cleanliness with industry regulations, standards, and best practices. They play a vital role in maintaining the safety and reliability of aircraft.
Responsibilities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular and thorough audits of aircraft cleanliness to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Safety Observations: Observe personnel during their normal workday to ensure that all safety standards are being followed. Including but not limited to wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), vests, hearing protection, proper footwear and not engaging in unsafe practices while working in the airport environment and in and around commercial aircraft.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Stay up to date with aviation regulations and industry standards. Ensure that all operations activities comply with these requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports, findings, and recommendations for management, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and quality standards (e.g., FAA regulations, EASA standards).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in aviation Quality Assurance or auditing is typically required.
  • Familiarity with auditing tools and software is an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office software; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Publisher

Required Education & Experience:
  • Associate Degree in business or related field; and minimum 5 years' experience in a related auditing field or 3 years of airline /aviation experience required
  • Strong understanding of Airline Cabin Cleaning Services

Additional Requirements:
  • Possess a valid US driver's license
  • Must pass drug screen and a 10-year FAA background check (employment/criminal)
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Ability to work on a variety of shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays. The airport environment is a 24/7 operation.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, as part of the role could require working outside.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces, with bending, stooping involved to properly inspect the condition of the aircraft.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace; moving from plane to plane to inspect quality and callback cleaning personnel to the aircraft to correct deficiencies.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment as well as outdoors in an airport ramp environment. Team members may become exposed to the elements including but not limited to heat, rain, snow, and loud noises.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative to those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Some travel may be required.
