Job Summary:
Insures inspections, servicing, repairs and maintenance are performed in accordance with the appropriate aircraft maintenance manual, company policies and procedures, and the Repair Station manual.
Functions/Responsibility:
- Preflight and post flight checks
- Discrepancy repair
- Safely work in a shop environment using tools and equipment as necessary
- Complete assigned tasks outdoors and in inclement weather if required
- Insure that work performed gets inspected by the appropriate inspection personnel.
- Complete required documentation for work performed
- Inspect, troubleshoot, adjust and repair aircraft and/or engines as assigned
- Complete required training as assigned
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Use basic computer skills to complete and document tasks
- Work productively individually or with an assigned crew
- Works with integrity and desire to maintain a high quality standard
- Report failures or deficiencies immediately
- Pass background check and random drug testing
- Overtime and/or weekend work may be required
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Airframe or Powerplant certificate (Both preferred)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office computer systems
Experience & Professional Skills:
- Two years of experience working on B-727 and B-737 aircraft preferred
- Diversified experience in maintenance on large fixed wing aircraft
Work Environment & Culture Skills:
- Candidate must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check
- Candidate must be able to understand, read and write English

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Employees are regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard
- Moderate to heavy lifting is required (up to 70lbs)
- Must be able to climb and use a ladder, work stands, platforms and lift equipment
- Work within a confined workspace(s)
Location Requirements:
- Operation based in Ypsilanti, MI at Willow Run Airport (YIP)
- There is no ability to work from home
- There will be no relocation package for this position
Shift Requirements:
- Two weeks on, two weeks off
- Must be available full-time and work overtime when required

- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
