JOB SUMMARY:
To inspect received aircraft instruments and equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs a variety of duties necessary to inspect aircraft purchased parts and equipment received from vendor, subcontractor or on consignment in accordance with standard inspection procedures, purchase orders, blueprints, drawings and/or catalog and applicable specifications.
- Inspects aircraft hardware and equipment to vendor and Cessna drawings or specifications.
- Performs visual and dimensional inspection and check for possible transit damage on all purchased parts.
- Maintains inspection procedures or records per established Quality Department procedures.
- Responsible for sending all applicable instruments to the functional test area for final testing and approval.
- Uses a variety of measuring instruments such as micrometers, scale, calipers and plug gages.
- Responsible only for own work.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Responsible for leading, guiding, and directing other employees on production needs
- Responsible for training new and current production support specialist team members on processes and procedures
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Requires the use of blueprints, specifications, arithmetic and a broad knowledge of aircraft instruments and equipment.
- Knowledge of mainframe computer system.
- Requires A&P License.
EXPERIENCE:
- Requires 5 years aircraft instrument and equipment inspection, repair and functional test experience or directly related instrument and equipment work.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable.
