THESE ARE NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITIONS.

These National Guard positions are for TWO WG-8602-10 AIRCRAFT ENGINE MECHANIC (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1635000 in FAC 22M000 and are part of the MO 131st Bomb Wing.
APPOINTMENT FACTORS: These are Permanent Excepted Service positions. These are bargaining positions.

Qualifications:

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Selected candidate will be required to be in a compatible military assignment prior to effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be AFSC qualified within 12 months from date of appointment.
Maximum Military Grade: TSgt (E-6)
Minimum Military Grade: A1C (E-3)
Enlisted - AFSC 2A6X1
Supervisor must verify that selected individual occupies a compatible military position. Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion).
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training that provided you with the ability to perform assembly and disassembly operations and make prescribed modifications to AIRCRAFT ENGINEs, engine assemblies, and accessories in accordance with technical specifications, procedures and requirements; and using hand and power tools common to the trade.
WG-10 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 18 months of specialized experience working on turbofan engines. The specialized experience must demonstrate the ability to perform complex troubleshooting, modifications and repairs on turbofan engines and starting systems; and read complex diagrams and electrical schematics.

This job does not have a qualification requirement that allows substitution of education for specialized experience.
