The position is located in the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Mission Support Services, Aeronautical Information Services Directorate (AJVA), Obstruction Evaluation Group (AJV-A5) and its teams (AJV-A51, AJV-A52, AJV-A53, and AJV-A54). The group is responsible for evaluating construction notices to determine if they would have adverse impact on the safe and efficient use of airspace, facilities, or equipment.
Qualifications:To qualify for this position at the FV-J (FG/GS-14) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I (FG/GS-13) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
Specialized experience includes: Skill gained as a full-performance level controller in an air traffic facility. Experience managing data processing systems e.g., Obstruction Evaluation Automation Programs; identifying airspace obstructions; and coordinating airspace actions between air traffic control facilities. Experience interpreting 49 USC §40103, §44718, and 14 CFR Part 77.
