Air Compressor Service Technician

General Responsibilities:

• In shop, as well as traveling to customer job sites to troubleshoot and maintain, rotary screw Air Compressors, piston Air Compressors, diesel driven Air Compressors, multi-brand compressors, (oil-flooded and oil-free), and refrigerated/desiccant air dryers.
• Perform diagnostics and determine causes for malfunctions on Air Compressor systems and components.
• Provide recommendations to improve reliability and/or performance.
• Consult with and advise customers on repairs and maintenance.
• Provide start-ups and installations on Rotary screw and receipt applications.
• Read and comprehend operational manuals, electrical schematics, and parts breakdowns.
• Document service and installation activities by completing field service tickets for each job.
• Interact with vendors when necessary to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
• Maintaining service vehicle with proper equipment, tools, and parts.
• Interact with vendors when necessary to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
• Other assignments may be given at the discretion of the management.

Requirements and skills

• 2+ years of service work related to industrial equipment.
• Working knowledge of compressed air systems and associated components
• Knowledge of electrical diagrams and mechanical flow diagrams
• Experience with electrical motors and plumbing systems (1phase, 3phase, copper, aluminum) is a plus.
• Able to read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.
• Work 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday and be part of our on call service.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean record
• A positive attitude and a dedication to learning – must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• The ability to work indoors and outdoors in and around industrial and electrical equipment.
• The job requires frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs or more.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
