Air And Ocean Export Coordinator

Forbis Logistics Corp. is an international freight forwarder that is looking for an Air and Ocean Export Coordinator.

Mission:

Ensure efficient and effective management of logistical operations. This involves coordinating and overseeing all activities related to the export and import of airfreight and maritime routes. The main objective is to ensure that products reach their final destination promptly, securely, and in optimal conditions while complying with established quality and cost standards.

Main responsabilities:

• Plan and determine the most efficient and secure route, as well as shipping times, through air carriers, including airline selection.
• Prepare documents such as truck and Ocean BOL, SED, and declaration of dangerous goods.
• Prepare BL instructions in a timely manner
• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm cargo details and determine appropriate land transportation according to needs and requirements.
• Provide tracking updates for both land and air transportation to specified destinations as per client instructions.
• Secure space and availability on airlines for various shipments, making advance reservations to ensure compliance with space and rate requirements.
• Handle documentation and necessary procedures for international transportation, including customs declarations and international shipping requirements.
• Collaborate closely with third-party logistics providers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and transportation companies to meet company objectives while also addressing client inquiries and directing them to appropriate channels.
• Work with other departments to integrate logistics into company procedures and operations.
• Maintain updated rate drives for shipments or transportation.
• Perform maritime-related functions as required by the nature of the position.
• Other job-related functions.

Qualifications:

• Excellent organizational skill
• Excellent communication skill
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
• Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines
• Ethical and team player
• Fluent in English and Spanish

Previous experience:

• Freight Forwarding Industry: More than 3 years
• In the department: More than 2 years
• In similar positions: More than 2 years
• Proven experience with access to employment references.
