Amwins is seeking unique and collaborative individuals to join our lively AIB Surplus Lines Team. These individuals will be given the opportunity to learn and develop various skills that will assist the Amwins Surplus Lines Team throughout detailed filing process.
The Surplus Lines Team is responsible for filing taxes and handling reporting for non-admitted insurance policies
As a valued team member with our firm, you will help to develop new and imaginative processes and procedures while performing in this role. This position requires on the job training that will provide a collaborative and exciting team focused environment. Joining Amwins as a team member with the Client Services Clearance Team will offer the opportunity for advancement as the department grows swiftly beyond its initial stages.
Each Surplus Lines Specialist is a vital member of our team, providing:
Timely and accurate completion of state regulatory Surplus Lines Tax filings by either utilizing the state's filing website or state approved form
Complete Surplus Lines state tax returns using approved state forms
Creates corresponding check request for payment of Surplus Lines Tax
Reconcile state filings with open payable report
Conduct compliance and quality review on documents associated with a Surplus Lines Tax filing and work with production team to correct any issues found during review
Complete and file Surplus Lines affidavits in assigned states
Maintain an open line of communication with production team regarding Surplus Lines Taxes
We are looking for people with:
1+ year of experience one the Amwins CST Surplus Lines Team
