The selected candidate be a part of the software framework team for the Beacon program being executed within Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) within the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO).
Beacon is responsible for developing the framework and AI-based C2 services for application across multiple C2 platforms in support of Joint All Domain Operations (JADO) missions.
In this role, the selected candidate will be an integral member of the Beacon software team with an emphasis constructing the Beacon framework. The candidate will work closely with the Software Lead in delivering the framework capabilities.
Must exhibit self-motivation, a strong work ethic, time management and interpersonal skills.
The selected candidate can potentially work at any major Lockheed Martin facility or remotely.
Basic Qualifications
• Experienced Python developer; utilizing the latest Python toolsets such as pip, vscode, jupyter notebooks
• Develops and Maintains a Python based AI/ML Microservice framework, related APIs, utilities and command line tools
• Maintains a suite of tests and example applications showcasing the Microservice software platform
• Produces Confluence and Sphinx based documentation and software user guides
• Integrates with containerization toolsets (Docker, Podman, etc)
• Integrates with communications solutions such as AMQ, REST, gRPC
• Develops database integration features (Elastic, Postgres)
• Experienced Kubernetes platform developer, utilizing Docker, Podman, Kubectl, Kubeadm, as well as Rancher and OpenShift platforms
• Develops and Maintains Helm v3.0 application charts and service deployment templates
• Develops and Maintains program GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Develops and Maintains program Dockerfiles and container registries
• Provides help desk / ad-hoc support to program via team Slack/Email
Desired skills
• Experienced C/C++/Java developer; utilizing maven, JDK, eclipse
• Elastic stack developer providing new analytics, queries and Kibana visualizations
• Integrates MBSE tool outputs (Cameo, MagicDraw,etc) with Protobuf / OpenAPI 3.0 specification and code generation utilities
• Administrator support for all Kubernetes platforms and deployments on program

Ability to work remotely
Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $114,100 - $218,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $131,200 - $247,300. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
