This is a seasonal position with a base pay of $25/hour.
Job Description
Seasonal truck drivers will typically work the months of April through June delivering products directly to local farm yards and farm fields. Poor weather or field conditions will result in unpredictable days off throughout the season.
Duties may include delivering seed, dry fertilizer, liquid fertilizer, premixed chemical, or packaged products, with a pickup truck, straight dry or liquid tender, or semi-truck with a hopper bottom or liquid tanker.
Tendering dry and liquid products to applicators operating application equipment in the fields may also be necessary.
- Valid Class A Commercial driver’s license (CDL) and clean driving record are required.
- Valid Tanker Endorsement if delivering liquid loads.
- Must be able to communicate clearly effectively both written and verbally.
- Need to maintain a positive attitude with other employees and customers.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and repair as necessary.
- Ability to read maps and follow directions.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds.
- Hours: Daily hours Monday through Friday with some weekend hours are to be expected during field work. Some unpredictable and extended work hours will occur.
- Working with fertilizer and chemicals will be required.
