Job Description Summary

 

Selected applicants will be interviewed to establish a pool of approved Agriculture Economics instructors for possible part-time teaching assignments in the Business Education Division to teach AGB 202: Agriculture Economics at the North County Campus in Paso Robles.

Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for either Agriculture or Economics (see below). Applicants may be offered additional assignments in the discipline for which they qualify.

 

These additional assignments may be day, evening, or weekend classes at the San Luis Obispo Campus, the North County Campus, or distance education.

Essential Functions & Qualifications

 

To be considered for the Economics discipline:

 

Required:

 

-Master's in economics from an accredited institution;

 

OR

 

-Bachelor's in economics from an accredited institution ;AND-Master's in business, business administration, business management, business education, finance or political science from an accredited institution ;

 

OR

 

-The equivalent. (Candidates making application on the basis of equivalency must submit all materials requested for an equivalency judgment. OR

 

-A valid Community College credential in the discipline (If received prior to 1990, as the credential is no longer being issued).

 

To be considered for the Agriculture discipline:

 

-Master's in agriculture, agriculture science, education with a specialization in agriculture or other agricultural area (including: agricultural business, agricultural engineering, agricultural mechanics, agronomy, animal science, enology, environmental (ornamental) horticulture, equine science, forestry, natural resources, plant science, pomology, soil science, viticulture or other agriculture science) from an accredited institution;

 

OR

 

-The equivalent. (Candidates making application on the basis of equivalency must submit all materials requested for an equivalency judgment.
