Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, Michigan minimum three times per week.

Role

As our Agreement Analyst you will both lead and participate in complex projects including successful negotiation and execution of agreements, including Technical Non-Disclosure, Evaluation, Development, and others, as well as supporting other department initiatives. You will also support documentation and implementation of process requirements, contract validation, management of content change, archiving processes, and facilitation of cross team communications.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Review, draft, and negotiate evaluation agreements with external parties as well as support a variety of development and research agreements.

  • Lead GM’s NDA process for Research & Development and Technology Commercialization by collaborating with project leaders to align requirements to support business objectives according to corporate policies and procedures, while supporting movement through the corporate NDA process.

  • Assist in the development of efficient work processes, contract, project management and financial projection templates, tools, reference guides, best-practices, and other materials to facilitate timely execution.

  • Develop, track, and report on metrics.

  • Train/guide employees through both in person workshops and online instruction.

  • Assist/Lead human subject testing program and approvals.

  • Assist/Lead copyright and technical publication programs.

  • Assist/Lead Research & Development internal report publication program.

  • Regularly collaborate with suppliers and internal partners. 

  • Support Technology Commercialization team as needed.

  • Provide general business / agreement / IP support as needed to Research & Development.

  • Participate in training related to corporate policies, position functions and self-development goals.

Additional Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Qualifications):

  • Bachelors degree in a Technical field

  • 5+ years experience in business environment. 

  • Understanding of automotive technology and IP or negotiation experience preferred.

  • Experience or understanding of intellectual property, confidentiality, contract and relationship management.

  • Next-level analytical ability where problems are unusual, and complex.

  • Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time.

  • Advanced Excel skills and solid understanding of SharePoint and other office efficiency tools.

  • Able to deal with a significant amount of ambiguity. 

  • High level of sociability in a business environment, with a strong commitment to teamwork and partnerships.
