JOB MISSION:

In this role of Agile Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and delivering complex projects with cross-functional implications. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, execute, and monitor multiple interrelated projects to ensure successful outcomes within defined timeframes, budgets, and quality standards. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, vendors, and executive management, to align project objectives with organizational goals and drive effective cross-functional collaboration

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • As needed, provide overall project management to projects / workstreams identified, and to do so, with infusing agile mindset/culture with the understanding we are looking to promote agility and flex the traditional model where possible. Execute to the standard NB IT PMO model.
  • Managing multiple projects / tracks within a large/complex program.
  • Manage contributions of multiple APM's As needed, provide coaching duties for facilitating our NB IT best in class agile practices / agile ways of working; execute to the standard NB IT PMO model
  • Scheduling and facilitating necessary meetings and related action items
  • Working with outside vendors (if applicable) and internal New Balance teams to plan and
  • Manage the project activities, provide governance and oversight, provide status and other inputs to Business and IT stakeholders / Leadership
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and issues (and related mitigation plans); escalate in a clear and timely manner as appropriate.
  • Track project budget and Invoice spends, as needed
  • Collaborate, participate, and contribute to collaborative NB IT PM/Agile center of excellence

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of technical project management experience with minimum 4+ years of specific experience in IT preferred, with a BS degree in technical field/ equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Certification in Agile practice such as CSM or Sr CSM.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of technical agile management experience
  • Management/oversight of multiple agile teams/APMs
  • Continually drive improvement through the evolution of agile maturity, restrospectives, and metrics
  • Ability to manage several complex projects concurrently, Providing guidance to other APMs as part of a project initiative
  • Experience with budget and resource management and with communications to Sr. leadership
  • Technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development or IT a plus
  • Experience with using MS Word, MS Project, Visio
  • Experience and ability to work within an Agile framework, using tools such as ADO (Microsoft DevOps)
  • Time management and organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication skills . Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
