The Agile Product Management Senior Advisor will provide counsel and advice to top management on significant matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the most complex assignments.

Must be a current contractor with Cigna, Express Scripts, or Evernorth. Evernorth is a new business within the Cigna Corporation.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage team-level intake process for inbound product/service requests.
  • Partner with engineering leads and delivery managers to perform backlog grooming, decomposition, prioritization, and sequencing of work based on value & strategic alignment.
  • Drive PI planning and continuous planning throughout each PI in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Identify, escalate, and mitigate cross-functional interdependencies between teams - reprioritize work based on scope/schedule changes accordingly.
  • Establish capacity management approach and manage team capacity, escalating risks/issues around resource availability as needed.
  • Regularly review Agile metrics to develop insights and recommend actions that drive operational efficiency for engineering teams.
  • Contribute to road-mapping sessions and encourage long term planning (3mo. - 3yr.)
  • Facilitate team-level retrospectives to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Continuously develop functional-level product/service knowledge and understand product/service business value.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles
  • 5+ years of experience in a Product Management role, preferably experience in the IT Infrastructure field.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation.
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively, which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details.
  • High degree of comfort in a fast-paced/ambiguous environment
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-directed, requires minimal supervision.
  • Creative thinker with an ability to drive the team to a vision.
  • Technical background with knowledge of software development.
  • Experience in the following tools is desirable – Agile (JIRA/Rally), collaboration tools (Confluence, SharePoint, WebEx, etc), and Visio.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
