Aggregate Rock Scale Operator
Job Summary
Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment with many moving parts and multiple demands throughout the day? The Scale Operator is responsible for weighing trucks, processing sales, assisting with customer needs and monitoring yard traffic and functions.
Minimum Qualifications
· Must be available Monday through Saturday for 10-hour shifts, some early mornings and occasional Sundays.
· Ability to operate office machines, document scanner, and Microsoft Office software such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
· Must be able to generate spreadsheets & reports.
· Must be willing to cross-train in other positions as necessary for the efficient operation of the material yard and dispatch office.
· Bilingual is a plus.
Duties and/or Responsibilities
· Weigh incoming trucks and create tickets
· Record information accurately
· Take customer orders, work with dispatch making sure customers receive correct material and tonnages
· Report proper billing information
· Answer and make phone calls and utilize two-way radio system
· Communicate effectively with dispatch and truck drivers
· Must be able to complete multiple reports from the days work with information from computer ticketing system
· Maintain orderly clean office
· Assist new employees
· Accurate reporting on timecard and other needed reports
· Timely and regular attendance is essential
· Other tasks as assigned

Physical Requirements
Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
Lift and carry up to 40 pounds occasionally
Hand eye coordination
Repetitious work
Ability to work with speed and accuracy
Recognition of surroundings, including equipment and traffic awareness
