Aggregate Estimator
Primary Job Functions:

• Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to particular bid/project as assigned.
• Produce and submit bids & quotes on time either in person, by fax, or electronically.
• Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.
• Support other department personnel as required may include preparing estimates in other disciplines.
• May review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability or materials.
• Track awarded contracts as required - may include estimating/pricing extra work items, change order, credit; procuring materials, etc.
• Prepare a total project cost summary, including the cost of labor, equipment, materials, subcontracts, overhead, taxes, insurance, bonds, markup, and any other costs that may affect the project.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
• Able to read plan take offs and specification review in order to develop a bid form for project pricing.
• Contact and develop relationships with prospective contractors and suppliers as well as obtaining pricing for specific projects.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and review pre-bid documents needed for bid preparation as well as bid document delivery.
• Pricing specific projects within company parameters.
• Conduct in-house post bid/pre-construction meetings with Project Managers, Project Superintendents, and administrative personnel.
• Evaluate and access projects outside the office environment.

Minimum Experience:

• Familiarity with specifications in the upper Midwest.
• Understanding in the Aggregate/Construction field preferred.
• Must possess the necessary verbal and written skills to interact with owners and clients in a professional and courteous manner.
• Proficiency in computer programs and operations.

Compensation:
Compensation package is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Must possess current valid driver license and pass pre-employment drug testing and background check.
