As an Agent in Training at the Underhill Agency, you will be at the forefront of our mission to provide exceptional insurance solutions to our valued clients. Your role will involve building and maintaining meaningful relationships, understanding client needs, and tailoring insurance packages to ensure comprehensive coverage. This position allows for a clear path to owning your very own Farmers agency! You will have the opportunity to mentor under one of the top agencies in the state learning the ropes of insurance sales and what it takes to be an agent. You'll make a significant impact on our business while helping individuals and families safeguard their assets and achieve peace of mind.
Salary: $40000.00 - $60000.00 per year

Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor for their insurance needs.
- Listen actively to clients' concerns and goals, offering personalized insurance solutions to meet their requirements.
Insurance Expertise:
- Develop a deep understanding of Farmers Insurance products, coverage options, and policy features.
- Educate clients about available insurance plans, explaining complex concepts in an easily understandable manner.
Sales and Prospecting:
- Generate leads and actively prospect for new clients through various means, including referrals, networking events, and community outreach.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify potential clients' insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage.
Consultative Selling:
- Analyze clients' current insurance coverage and perform comprehensive policy reviews.
- Present clients with tailored insurance proposals that address gaps in coverage and provide added value.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Collaborate with fellow Sales Producers and team members to share insights, strategies, and best practices.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
Industry Knowledge:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging insurance products.
- Continuously enhance your knowledge to provide clients with the latest and most relevant information.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and organized client records, policy documents, and sales reports.
- Utilize CRM software to track interactions, manage leads, and monitor sales progress.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some sales experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Active insurance producer license in MI, or the ability to obtain one for employment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse clientele.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and committed to achieving sales goals.
