Agency Temp (Dock Worker)

Staff-Up is Seeking an Agency TempDock Worker for a fast paced 3rd party Logistics company

2nd shift: 2:30pm-11pm

Pay rate: $14.00

Job Description:
Role Summary: The Dock Worker will help to remobilize our patients by providing them our products that support their mobility and get them back to doing the things they desire.
In this role, the Dock Worker will be lifting or moving heavy items; operating forklifts, hand trucks, hoists, conveyors, and other equipment to move or expedite material to proper department or storage location. The Dock Worker will also prepare goods for final shipment and prepare packages for assembly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep the shipping line clear and load small parcel shipments onto FedEx truck.
• Help load (outbound) and unload (inbound) trucks.
• Use compactor to crush cardboard.
• Keep dock clean and organized.
• Reject unsatisfactory, damaged, or defected items.
• Operate hand trucks, hoists, conveyors, and other equipment to move or expedite material to proper department or storage location.
• Prepare goods for final shipment.
• Prepare packages for assemble.
• Be aware of your surrounding- safety is key.
• Maintain open communication with other departments through the shipping/delivery cycle.
• Perform other duties, as required

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent of 5 years of related experience

Work environment | Physical demands:

• Ability and willingness to lift and move at least 20 pounds
• Ability and willingness to work OT, as required

• Experience with ERP, Oracle, warehouse software
• Ability to be adaptable and flexible
• Eagerness to learn
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience on forklifts and order picker equipment, preferred.
• Detail oriented
• Fluency in English reading and comprehension
