Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Send submissions out to carriers.
- Rate quotes online.
- Follow up with carriers.
- Negotiate terms/conditions/pricing with Underwriters.
- Meet with carriers/marketing reps in person or on Zoom/Teams calls with video.
- Work directly with producers on their renewals/new business accounts.
Qualifications:
- 220 license preferred.
- 2-10+ years of demonstrated success in commercial lines insurance with a preference in marketing/placing business.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Florida insurance marketplace, with an emphasis on mid to larger commercial risk.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with carriers, underwriters, and clients.
- Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in insurance carrier platforms, agency management systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, stay organized and adapt in a high-volume environment.
