Position Overview:
The After Care / Homework Support Staff provides essential after-school support by assisting children with homework and engaging them in educational activities. This role requires patience, a passion for working with children, and the ability to provide a supportive and encouraging learning environment. Many of our students are hyper active children with a lot of energy, the successful applicant will be comfortable dealing with reluctant children. Most children range from Kindergarten to Grade 5

Note the number of hours worked per week will depend on ability to support birthday parties which is advertised as a separate role but candidates will be considered for both positions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist children with homework and school assignments.
• Provide support in various subjects as needed.
• Engage children in educational activities that complement their learning.
• Monitor and report on the progress of children to parents or guardians.
• Create a safe and positive environment for learning and development.

Qualifications:

• Experience in tutoring, education, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of school curriculum and teaching methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience and a positive attitude towards working with children.
• Relevant educational background or qualifications in education or child development.

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
