After School Student Tutor

THIS OPENING IS FOR SELECT BRAXTON COUNTY STUDENTS ONLY!!!
LOCATION: Flatwoods Elementary
LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT: For the 2023-2024 school year, not to exceed 12 hours per week,                                                                                                                                

SALARY:  $10 per hour
EFFECTIVE EMPLOYMENT DATE:  Upon Board Approval

CERTIFICATION/QUALIFICATIONS:       Current enrollment in Braxton County Schools educational pathways courses                            

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support in reading and/or math.
• Conduct and respond to students in a positive manner at all times.
• Maintain an intervention log under the supervision of the Principal and Title I teacher.
• Attend all training as assigned.
• Work cooperatively and collaboratively with staff.
• Maintain the confidentiality of school and student records.

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:             

 Applicants who have been dismissed or who have had their contracts non-renewed for cause by another school district are not eligible for consideration; applicants who have recent unsatisfactory evaluations are not to be considered eligible for consideration; applicants who demonstrate unsatisfactory interview performance are not eligible for consideration; and, applicants who receive unfavorable reference recommendations will not be eligible for consideration.  The ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities of the position as contained in the Job Description, with or without reasonable accommodation.
