AFL Team Operations Coordinator
Oversees all stadium operations logistics. Individual interacts with the field manager, coaches, players, trainers, and strength/conditioning staff daily.
- Assist with roster construction
- Coordinate staff/player travel
- Provide daily updates on player medicals/availability/roster constraints
- Confirm all team bus transportation logistics for all road trips.
- Oversee preparation of stadium.
- Coordinate team pre-season workout logistics with Field Manager and facility ground crew.
- Assist communications team in the execution of AFL Media Day
- Assist communications in the coordination of media interviews
- Assist in sponsorship/promotional activities
- Acquire/distribute daily lineups, batting practice groups, and pitching rotations to the League office.
- Prepare daily media/scout packs
- Monitor and supervise all stadium operations personnel working the concourse area, merchandise stand area, restrooms, press box and entrance/exit gates throughout the course of a home game and address any issues or security concerns that could affect the fan experience.
- Update and monitor all PA announcements, time of game procedures and special promotions during home games.
- Serve as liaison to any VIP guests
- Travel with the team for road games and assist home team coordinator
- Execute team pass list for friends/family throughout season
- Execute all autograph requests for team/league related initiatives
- Accompany/assist players with all community related appearances
- Perform other game duties/tasks as requested.
- Facilitates adherence to all health and safety protocol
Requirements:
- Must be a college graduate
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) candidates preferred
- Participation in athletics at the collegiate level a plus
- Must work well independently and collaboratively
- Operational accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to develop cordial, professional relationships with all levels of Club personnel and MLB staff
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) and Google G-Suite
- Proficiency with social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Tik Tok
- Maturity, good judgement, and a positive can-do attitude
- Familiarity with the game of baseball
- Have experience creating social content or demonstrate the ability to do so
- Availability to work nights and weekends
Timing & Compensation:
- Position begins approximately August 28th, 2023 remotely. Hires will be in Arizona September 18, 2023 through November 12, 2023
- Hires will receive a weekly stipend, housing allowance, and mileage reimbursement
- Hires are responsible for securing housing and transportation
Interviews will begin at the Winter Meetings in San Diego on December 5 through December 7th.
