Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

About us

Profile Aesthetics and Wellness is a medical aesthetic and wellness practice that focuses on a variety of medical aesthetic services from skin tightening and laser skin resurfacing to non-invasive body contouring and hormone replacement therapy. Our services are geared specifically to male-identifying people to improve the individuals both inside and out through an elevated and immersive medical experience.

The Mission of Profile Aesthetics & Wellness is to set the standard of men’s medical aesthetic services and to break the stigma of males in the medical spa industry.

Job Summary

The NP/PA administers all professional medical aesthetic treatments such as: laser skin resurfacing, skin tightening, injectables, body contouring, and PRP services. They must possess a thorough knowledge of the facial aesthetic and body anatomy of a male (our target market) and have excellent advanced practical hands-on knowledge and experience of all of the procedures/treatments and products offered in the practice. The NP/PA must possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills and be willing to train in all treatment protocols. They must exude excellent communication and clinical skills and be able and willing to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide positive clinical outcomes. They must be able to maintain a professional, enthusiastic and positive attitude. Every client will be treated with the highest regard and given a proper detailed and thorough consultation and treatment plan. They must hold and maintain a current state license and meet any and all continuing education requirements required by the state of Florida.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service. Arrive 30 minutes before first appointment to plan and prepare appropriately for the day.
  • Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the business and clients.
  • Adhere to professional dress code as determined by the practice: scrubs and/or business casual attire and/or lab coat.
  • Properly care for and clean equipment to ensure OSHA and medical board standards are met
  • Use only appropriate amounts of product and consumables to maintain cost control.
  • Adhere to treatment logs, managing error codes and/or lost cycles for any and all consumables to ensure replacement and cost efficiency.
  • Thoroughly and correctly document all treatments and patient conversations in a timely manner.
  • Have an understanding and working knowledge of the EMR and PM system as it relates to your role
  • Familiarize yourself with the patient photo protocols and ensure quality before and after photos are taken of each patient when applicable.
  • Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services, treatments, products, financing options, memberships and loyalty programs while educating and communicating the patients.
  • Familiarize yourself with the practice’s unique value proposition.
  • Actively promote at home skin care treatment programs, aiming to meet minimum retail sales goals, which are 20% of service revenue. Monitor regularly.
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and Profile Aesthetics and Wellness’ policies and procedures.
  • Perform prep work and properly clean and restock treatment room as required. This includes but is not limited to: properly cleaning/sanitizing any and all equipment, properly disposing of sharps kits, wiping down chairs, restocking the appropriate medical, towel, and linen supplies for each room, and maintaining a clean and well-organized work environment.
  • Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or patients in the business that require attention.
  • Ability to perform a thorough and detailed comprehensive consultation to develop a treatment plan using any and all modalities to provide the best patient outcome regardless of price.
  • Handle patients’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
  • Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by patients, ensuring complete client satisfaction, and copy management on all patient correspondences.
  • Possess ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a positive and quality work environment.
  • Attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for business with enthusiasm, active involvement, and participation.
  • Assist in all areas of business/clinical operations as requested by management.
  • Communicate with management regarding inventory levels.
  • Consistently discuss and implement innovation into practice.
  • Ability and willingness to film videos, take pictures and be present on the company’s social media outlets and website, educate and contribute via blogs.
  • Attend at least 1-2 seminars and continued education yearly or as directed by management.

Position Requirements

  • Ability to perform a thorough patient consultation. Build trust and rapport.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Enjoy working with people with a clinical outcome mindset and the best interest of the patient.
  • Computer knowledge and timely same day patient charting.
  • Must be a team player and support management and peers as well as business goals.
  • Comfortable working on male clientele.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Must hold and maintain a current State license.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years in aesthetic medicine.
  • Advanced training in lasers, body contouring, skin tightening, injectables, etc.

Expectations:

1. Photo Submission

  • Upload all applicable photos (before and afters, for example) once every month to practice photo database.
  • In the event a provider is unable to submit photos on the 15th of the month, an email communication, on the 15th, must be sent to management with an explanation as to why so that the issue can be addressed and is not ongoing. Repeated non-submittals is deemed unacceptable and noncompliant with company policies.
  • Injectable pictures will be submitted same day – These may be acquired with company provided tablet.

2. Inventory

  • Communicate with management in a timely manner regarding shortages, low counts, issues, or concerns.
  • Fill out all appropriate logs accurately and report lost cycles that affect cost and inventory counts.
  • Supplies will be used in accordance with established facility protocols. Any deviation must be discussed and approved with management prior of use.
  • Fill out superbills thoroughly; including detailed consumable use as requested on the form, prior to submitting to front desk for invoicing. This also includes any and all supplies or consumables used during services performed at no charge.

3. Scheduling

  • We prefer to adhere to continuity of care, however if your schedule does not meet the needs of the patient, the clients will be offered to see another provider.
  • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner if you need more or less time with patients, don’t assume we know.
  • Be open to other metrics and scheduling to maximize office time, efficiency, and revenue.
  • All requests off from established schedule are to be filed with management, via the appropriate paperwork, a minimum of 2 weeks prior to requested dates off, for approval. Provider will also make all attempts to obtain coverage for the requested days off, communicating those attempts with management so that management can plan accordingly.

4. Combination Therapy

  • It is in the best interest of the patient and outcomes to use all modalities when appropriate.
  • Providing the most appropriate treatment plan is your clinical obligation. Cost and fees are not your issue.

5. Continuing Education / Training

  • Attend 2 external trainings/conferences per year, directly relating to the business or as directed by management.
  • Written summary via email to management what was the outcome and what was learned, as well as how it will benefit you and the practice.
  • Required to attend in-house services training to assist in learning and ongoing education products and procedures so we are all skilled and adept at using and offering what the business carries.

6. Treatment Rooms Stocked and Cleaned

  • All machines properly wiped down, cleaned and sanitized. Machines should also be left in the appropriate condition for their next use.
  • Cleanliness and sanitary; OSHA required.
  • Properly clean, organize, and stock rooms. This includes, but is not limited to: medical supplies, towels, and linens.

7. Staff Meetings

  • Positive, enthusiastic, and involved.
  • Exhibit an attitude of receptiveness and willingness to discuss and problem solve.
  • Be flexible and open.
  • Learning opportunity.
  • Share best practices (each provider responsible to discuss one case and how it was handled).
  • Share any learnings from courses, articles, etc.
  • Share one positive thing about the business at each meeting and one thing to be improved upon.
  • Agreement on future plans, procedures.
  • Meet with management mid-month to assess monthly progress and goals.

8. Goals

  • Strive to meet (and exceed) monthly goals in service and retail.
  • Monthly meetings with management to review your revenue per hour and where we can improve.

9. Communication
