Job Description
ARES Corporation seeks an Aerospace Systems Engineer and Customer Lead to participate in an engineering team supporting United Launch Alliance (ULA) and NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) program. The candidate will be a primary interface for the ARES team to ULA as well as Boeing and NASA customers. The candidate will lead or support multiple task areas of ARES responsibility. In support of ULA’s Human Spaceflight Team, ARES supports hardware-in-the-loop simulation tasks, simulation data post-processing tasks to support crew and mission controller training activities, human certification, system safety, Probabilistic Risk Assessments, and other tasks.
This is a hybrid position including onsite support at ULA's facility in Centennial, Colorado.
Essential Functions:
- Customer Leadership Including:
- Interface with primary customers to plan, coordinate and otherwise manage ARES tasking.
- Coordinate with multiple levels of customers at ULA, Boeing and NASA to determine requirements, review work products and support integration activities.
- Work with the ARES team to assign, conduct, review and deliver various work products to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Technical Implementation Including:
- Support hardware-in-the-loop simulation tasks to provide crew and mission controller training.
- Develop flight and mission control products to support evaluation of vehicle states across mission phases for various fault conditions.
- Conduct Systems Engineering tasks across multiple human certification areas including system safety, failure tolerance, failure probability, and requirements compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Aerospace Systems, tools and processes.
- Experience leading tasks with multiple contributors.
- Experience in a customer-interfacing role.
Required Education/Experience:
- BS/BA degree in engineering, math, or science with 6 years or more professional experience in engineering or related technical field.
