JOB TITLE: Technician, T53 Engine Product Line
BUSINESS: Ozark Aeroworks LLC.
LOCATION: Springfield Missouri
Ozark Aeroworks LLC (OZARK) is the Model T53 Engine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). OZARK also provides full maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO). Both OEM and MRO businesses are collocated in our Springfield MO facility. OZARK’s primary MRO product lines include the T53 engine, T53 fuel controls and governors, Rolls-Royce M250 Engine (specifically the C47, C30, and C20 models), and machining capability for fast shop component repairs. As the OEM, OZARK is a full-service provider of new parts, MRO, and engineering services.
OZARK is the respected leader for the T53 engine, its MRO capabilities, and level of customer commitment. To help us continue growing and set the standard for MRO service levels, we are seeking an experienced Engine Technician to join our highly skilled team. The Engine Technician will be responsible for assisting the team meet its customer obligations by utilizing their skills and training to ensure proper teardown, clean, inspection, assembly, test, and shipment of engines following all processes and regulatory requirements. This position reports directly to the Director, Engines
JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE
The Engine Technician is responsible for the repair and overhaul of the T53 engine and all associated processes. This includes, but is not limited to, teardown of the engine, cleaning of all parts, processing internal and external repairs, inspection of engine materials to determine suitability for reuse and ordering replacement material as applicable, assembly of the engine, test, and the final close out processes for the engine in accordance with the technical document(s) and quality processes and procedures.
It is expected that this leader will be actively engaged in the following:
PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform maintenance tasks on turbine engines and accessories in accordance with the current technical data for continued airworthiness, service bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, government and industry standard practices and other FAA approved data.
- Document all work performed in accordance with the company’s quality processes and procedures.
- Must be able to use specialized tooling and test equipment to disassemble, clean, inspect, reassemble the engine and / or its subcomponents and accessories.
- Ensure all training is properly documented and approved as required.
- Champions 5S and ensures all tools and equipment are maintained in proper working order.
- Must have a strong focus on safety and quality.

- Meet or exceed T53 performance requirements for the work being performed.
- Quick learner, with the ability to stand on their own with proper training.
- Understand all technical documentation, policies and procedures used in the MRO process; not afraid to ask for clarification or assistance when needed.
- Complete engine MRO work as provided in a timely and efficient manner with a high level of quality and workmanship.
- Coordinate and work across the organization to achieve the desired outcome for the customer.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Education: High School Diploma required.
- Certifications: FAA Powerplant (P) or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license is preferred.
- Experience: 2 or more years of related experience reuqiured.
- Experience with FAA Part 145 and other aerospace quality standards preferred.
- Aerospace mechanical background in main engines preferred.

- Physical and Environmental Requirements: Typical work may require light lifting (less than 25 lbs.). Work environment includes MRO shop, clean line, and other operational areas.

COMPENSATION
$20.00 to $38.00 per hour based on level of experience, certifications, level of competency and past performance.
