Summary
The Adobe Experience Manager Architect is a leader of the project technical staff and the primary technical resource for the client who develops and optimizes the design and delivery of the solution, ensures coordination with project management, client service, creative, QA, and front end teams. She/he has client facing skills (presentation, consulting, sales support, written communications, etc.), can develop and lead people on project teams implementing CMS solutions with the AEM platform. This person understands key delivery methodologies, project management tools, risk mitigation approaches and can communicate accordingly. The right candidate will be able to lead the delivery team as well as multiple delivery projects at once.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development for major client projects, including enterprise-level Java architecture and development work
- Work closely with team members and across geographically distributed project groups
- Mentor and assist junior team members
- Architect & design systems and system changes, develop corresponding story/task breakdown with team
- Articulate key decisions with clients/project managers.
- Collaborate with other Epsilon Architects on competency best practices
- Implement features and components from use cases and user stories
- Implement web/mobile features and REST services as needed
- Ensure software quality of development team and coordinate with QA team and client UAT team
- Manage server and client builds for releases, coordinating closely with infrastructure teams
Skills and Experience:
- Java, AEM6/6.2, JCR API, Sling API, RESTful services, AJAX, SightlyIO, and TouchUI.
- End-to-end understanding of web architectures including SEO, mobile web considerations and responsive web design
- Experience deploying self-contained JavaScript applications in AEM
- Consulting experience with a known consulting or professional services organization is required. Enterprise architecture design skills including comfort with UML models
- Experience leading and coordinating the work of developers using agile practices when working with a geographically remote team.
- This person should be comfortable with estimating development tasks at both a high level and at a more granular experience.
- CMS Experience, especially Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)/CQ6 architecture. Experience with multiple WCM platforms is preferred.
- End to end experience configuring the full AEM stack from author instance to dispatcher and CDN.
- Strong technical client communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable:
- NodeJS, AngularJS, Yarn, etc.
- Database design, Hibernate and No-SQL experience
- Experience implementing WCM/CMS for eCommerce websites
Education:
- Bachelor of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or degree in related field, advanced degree desired.
