Riley Advisory Services offers specialty financial Advisory Services to lenders, law firms and other professional services firms to support complex business problems, including bankruptcy, restructuring, turnaround and crisis management, and litigation matters. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Performance of financial statement analysis. Including monthly and annual trend analyses of the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement.
2. Supporting expert witnesses in their preparation for deposition or trial. This includes construction of binders supporting expert report findings.
3. Working with managers to develop valuation templates.
4. Industry specific research which may be used to assist in development of various analysis including valuations, expert witness reports, cash flow projections and other reports.
5. Assist with preparation of reports to be presented to clients.
6. Review analysis to ensure adherence to defined B Riley quality standards and policies.
7. Provide support for other ad-hoc projects as needed
8. Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
1. Currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited college/university and actively pursuing a bachelor's degree
2. Must be a current or rising Senior
3. Finance, Accounting, Business, and Economics majors preferred
4. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
5. Strong finance and accounting skills
6. Exceptional research, analytical and quantitative reasoning skills
7. Self-starter with a high level of initiative and motivation
8. Ability to work in a self-directed manner in a project or deadline-driven environment
9. Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships at all organizational levels
10. Ability to collaborate effectively and be a contributing member of the team
11. Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and quickly grasp concepts and information to apply to work assignments
12. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives while maintaining a strong sense of urgency
13. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
14. Demonstrated leadership and/or participation in extracurricular activities
15. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
16. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
17. Experience with Visual Basic or Bloomberg preferred
18. Desire for a career in the financial services industry
