As an Investment Advisor Representative, you are responsible for the overall support and service for all client relationships assigned. You will provide personalized retirement planning and advice, portfolio design and income strategy planning, clear communication and education on relevant investment topics, and disciplined investment strategies for a fair, unhidden fee. The Investment Advisor Representative reports to the Principal Advisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this role successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty:
Advisory
- Prepares and updates financial plans, working with clients to obtain the necessary information and ensuring that it is accurately entered into the firm's financial planning systems.
- Works with Lead Advisors/Managing Directors to discuss, review and finalize financial planning assumptions and design decisions.
- Works with clients, under the supervision of Lead Advisors/Managing Directors, to obtain information and prepare risk profiles and investment policy statements.
- Coordinates the transfer of client assets to the firm during new client onboarding, working closely with the Operations Group.
- Develops asset allocation strategies and works independently or with the Investment Committee
- Rebalances portfolios as directed by the Investment Committee and the Lead Advisor/Managing Director working with the client.
- Participates in all client meetings and adds value to meetings by delivering presentations, facilitating discussions, and preparing information.
- Creates custom worksheets and analyses where needed to answer client questions or research investment opportunities.
- Facilitates the adoption of new technology by client service teams and trains others as necessary.
- Advises clients on appropriate financial products in the context of their plans.
- Tracks client correspondence, actively participating in client meetings and responsible for follow-up items after meetings.
- Facilitates retention of existing clients by providing outstanding service, which also can foster new client referrals.
- Builds strong relationships with clients and communicates proactively and consistently with clients to identify changes to their financial lives and needs that should be met.
- Leads the implementation of planning decisions and assigns client service steps to the team.
- Provides consistent and constructive feedback to other professionals on the client service team.
- Seeks opportunities to grow existing client relationships through increased wallet share.
- Engages with clients to create referral opportunities from existing clients.
- Client retention
- Number of clients served both in "first" and "second chair."
- New clients added - through referral sources.
- Leadership and Execution of strategic projects
- Accuracy and completion of financial plans and follow-up client deliverables.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- 4-year degree
- Holds applicable Life & Health and securities licenses or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Has advanced industry certification such as the CFP or is willing to pursue the certification while acting in this capacity.
